WOOD.b

WOOD.b is born from a common passion for bike and from a daily use of this transportation by these two designers. A part of the frame is realized in ash plywood and plays the role of the architectural structure on which can be added the high quality steel parts of the brand Columbus (bases and fork) which can welcome standard mechanical elements. The design is justified by the concept of assembly between the steel and the wooden frame. This enables a complete customization of bikes.

The combination of wood and steel enables the bike WOOD.b to be solid, comfortable and dynamic! The mechanical elements are standard elements resulting from the bike industry, they are quality elements and in the European standards. This allows maintenance and repair at every bicycle shop.

WOOD.b are entirely handmade and assembled in France. They are only available on demand.

Thierry Boltz and Claude Saos form Boltz&Saos Studio. Thierry Boltz comes from the School of the Arts Decoration of Strasbourg, Claude Saos from the Art School of Quimper. After their meeting through the association Idee, they decided to develop and design products, furniture and installations, with a focus on experiments and conceptual thinking.
